Overview
Quality results at the patient site are what we are about!
Having immediate test results at the patient site, if done correctly, can improve the quality of patient care by decreasing the treatment decision cycle-time and increasing patient convenience and satisfaction.
Any laboratory test within Fletcher Allen Health Care must be approved by the Point of Care Commitee. All testing, inside or outside the main laboratory, is the responsibility of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. We are JCAHO accredited.
Once a test request is approved, the Point of Care division will work with you on setting up programs and training, meeting compliance standards and managing your supplies.
For more information, or to obtain a test application form, please call the Point of Care Office at (802) 847-3669.
